Terms of Service
Effective September 20, 2026
1. What FixOrCall is and is not
FixOrCall gives you an honest opinion to help you decide whether a home repair is a do-it-yourself job or one to hand to a professional, along with related information such as estimated time, cost, risk, steps, and a suggested repair video. It is an informational triage tool. It is not professional, licensed, or expert advice, and it does not create any professional relationship between you and FixOrCall. You are responsible for your own decisions and for the work you choose to perform.
2. Safety
Home repair can be dangerous. Work involving gas, sealed refrigerant, major electrical panels or wiring, water under pressure, or structural elements can cause serious injury, property damage, or death. FixOrCall is designed to send anything in those categories toward “call a pro,”but no automated tool can catch every hazard. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions, comply with local codes and permitting, and when in doubt about safety, stop and call a licensed professional. If you choose to proceed with a repair, you do so at your own risk.
3. Accounts and sign-in
You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email; there is no password. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use FixOrCall.
4. Cost and fair use
FixOrCall is free to use. We do not charge for triages and we do not ask for payment details.
Each triage costs us money to run, so there is a daily limit on how many you can do. If you hit it, the app will say so and you can come back the next day. We may change the limit, or stop offering the service, at any time.
5. Acceptable use
Use FixOrCall only for genuine, lawful repair questions. Do not upload content you have no right to share, attempt to overload or abuse the service, scrape it, resell it, or use it to build a competing dataset or model. We may rate-limit, suspend, or close accounts that abuse the service.
6. No warranty
FixOrCall is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that any verdict, estimate, step, part suggestion, or video is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your specific situation.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FixOrCall and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any injury, property damage, or loss arising from your use of the service or any repair you undertake. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to US$50, since the service is provided free of charge.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the “effective” date above will change and continued use means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
